'Remember, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.'
- Stephen King

Hayley is a special education teacher and an avid reader and writer of YA fiction and children’s picture books based in Brisbane, Australia. Influenced by an adolescence spent in the dark and twisty realm of King and Koontz, her YA books cross a range of genres - horror, paranormal, urban fantasy, historical fiction and time travel.
Her picture books delve into big issues for little people and include themes of anxiety, living with disability, and the tumultuous journey of friendship in the face of adversity. She can usually be found trekking through the rainforest with her head in the clouds and her boots squelching earth.
She is a founding member of the YA fantasy writers group Carpe Magicae, and is an active member of Write Links Children’s Writers Group.
